Since I would not be shooting the Texans game this Sunday, I made plans to head downtown and get some scenery shots but upon reading a friend’s Facebook post I ended up at the Via Colori The Street Painting Festival. I am so glad I randomly saw the Facebook post because I might have missed out on all of the awesome artwork I saw. In addition to seeing great artwork, the weather could not have been more beautiful considering there were heavy rains just a day ago.
Houston Via Colori® Street Painting Festival, presented by LINN Energy, is one of Houston’s most beloved signature art festivals. This spectacular two-day event, free to the public, attracts over 25,000 visitors annually to see the streets of Houston come to life through imagination and art. Houston Via Colori benefits The Center for Hearing and Speech by raising $400,000 to fund critical health and educational services for children with hearing loss.
